'Go smash it!': Scotland's Sarah Bonar sends message to UKAF team ahead of big pool clashes
Scotland second row and RAF player Flying Officer Sarah Bonar has taken time out of her Rugby World Cup preparations to send a message of support to her UKAF teammates.
Fg Off Bonar, who is an integral player in the RAF rugby set-up, is undergoing final preparations for Scotland's Rugby World Cup opener against Wales on 23 August.
Speaking to BFBS Forces News, she said: "Wishing all the UKAF girls all the best for the tournament, you smashed your first game!
"I can't wait to see how you go in the next few, Dais [Daisy Fahey], more of out the backs, please! So, so cool!
"I'm so proud of you all. Go and smash it!"
Fg Off Bonar's message comes as the UKAF team prepare to face the Irish Defence Force in Basingstoke on 21 August in their second pool match.
The UKAF team currently top the table in Pool A after their astounding 105-0 victory over Tonga in their IDRC opener on 17 August.
Fg Off Bonar was part of Scotland's World Cup squad in 2022 and is set to appear in her second Rugby World Cup.
Her RAF teammate Amy Cokayne is also set to play in this year's World Cup as she lines up for England on 22 August in their opener against the USA, and the British Army's Manuqalo Komaitai is confirmed to play in her first Rugby World Cup for Fijiana.
