RAF Flying Officer Sarah Bonar excited ahead of second Rugby World Cup with Scotland

Sarah Bonar talks leadership, injuries and game day prep ahead of second Rugby World Cup with Scotland

Royal Air Force Flying Officer Sarah Bonar is excited to represent Scotland in her second Rugby World Cup, which gets underway this Friday.

The formidable second row has emerged as a key figure in Scottish women's rugby and now has 47 caps to her name, and five tries!

In her chat with BFBS Sport, Sarah discusses her leadership role in the team that she first played for in 2016, her injury woes and how she approaches game days.

She also opens up about how she handles her friendship with fellow RAF star Amy Cokayne during international tournaments like this!

Sarah says that Scotland's main focus is getting out of their group this year, and if they can successfully do that and England win their pool, there is a chance that Bonar could meet Cokayne in the quarter final.

Scotland get their campaign underway in Manchester on Saturday 24 August and, just like in 2022, they face Wales in their first fixture – Fiji and Canada are the other two teams in Pool B.
