UKAF Squad Announced For IDRC Competition In Japan

The UK Armed Forces squad for the International Defence Rugby Competition (IDRC) 2019 has been announced.

The 27 players picked will compete against Georgia in the first game of the tournament held in Japan in September.

The squad has 13 Army players involved, which is a reward for their Inter Services win at Twickenham Stadium in May.

The Navy is providing 10 players, while the Royal Air Force involvement comes from five squad members.

Some of the military’s top players, such as the RAF’s Josh McNally, will not be involved due to their professional requirements at club level.
