Antonov AN-30: the Soviet-era plane still proving its worth
The Antonov AN-30 is an upgraded Soviet-era plane used by the Romanian Air Force to fulfil the Open Skies Treaty.
That allows participating states to conduct unarmed reconnaissance flights over each other's territory.
The Cold War-era aircraft is perfect for the job as it was designed for aerial mapping and reconnaissance.

Between 1971 and 1980, 123 Antonovs were built in Kyiv and the plane is still used by Bulgaria, Sudan, Ukraine, Russia and Romania.
