Mad Max warfare: Ukraine and Russia turn every day items into deadly weapons
Battlefield innovation in Ukraine has seen the evolution of aerial RPGs and drone-borne AK74 weapons being developed in a Mad Max-style of warfare.
Since the beginning of the conflict in Ukraine, drone warfare has heavily influenced the battlefield and both sides have incorporated civilian technology into their weapon designs.
Russia and Ukraine are now using seemingly everyday items to build new unmanned vehicles.
Russia is currently developing its own unmanned ground mine dispenser vehicle, with a similar design to a civilian hoverboard.
Another vehicle currently being used is known as the Dolphin; however, it has nothing to do with the sea.
The unmanned remotely controlled platform can be used to move equipment or remove critically injured casualties from the battlefield. Ukraine has a similar design concept.
Drones have also been seen with hand-held weapons attached to them.
With new and imaginative approaches to warfare, UAVs (unmanned aerial vehicles) have been seen carrying RPGs (rocket-propelled grenade launchers) and AK74 rifles which can be fired from the sky.
Ukraine's MOD recently showed off its DragonFire drone which drops thermite onto enemy positions.
