Poland and Ukraine sign $700m howitzer arms deal

Poland is selling another 60 of its Krab self-propelled howitzers to Ukraine.

This comes on top of the 18 already sent to the country in May.

The deal, worth $700 million, is Poland's largest military export in 20 years.

Tanks were once king, in the Russia-Ukraine war, now artillery seems to reign supreme.

Ukraine is increasing its artillery firepower however it can, as evidenced by this latest consignment of 60 KRAB self-propelled tracked gun-howitzers imported from neighbouring Poland.

It is all part of Ukraine's tilt toward NATO equipment which could see it eventually out-gun its Russian aggressor.

The weapons are produced in Poland and should start arriving in the next few months.
