Revealed: Ukraine's Sting interceptor drone to defend the skies from Shahed UAVs

Watch: Ukraine unveils its newly developed Sting FPV Shahed hunter drone

Ukraine has endured relentless attacks from Russia's Iranian-designed Shahed 136 attack drone, but could its newly developed weapon provide the defence they desperately need?

The Sting first-person view (FPV) drone is a Shahed-hunter, directed to its target by an operator using VR goggles.

As the video above explains, to effectively achieve its 'kill', the Sting FPV must achieve speeds of over 100mph and operate at altitudes approaching 10,000ft, making it a formidable potential solution to this threat.
