Ukraine names operative claimed to have made world's longest sniper shot

The Ukrainian Ministry of Defence has named a former businessman as the Security Service operator who allegedly made the longest sniper shot in history.
Viacheslav Koyalskyi is said to be a sniper with the counterintelligence unit of the Security Service of Ukraine (SBU) and hit an enemy soldier at a range of 3,800 metres - 2.36 miles - in battle using the Ukrainian-made Volodar Obriyu (Horizon's Lord).
"I think the Russians will now know what Ukrainians are capable of. Let them stay at home and be afraid," said the 58-year-old.
The Ukrainian Ministry of Defence said: "Viacheslav Kovalskyi ... and his Horizon's Lord rifle, he broke the world sniping record by hitting a Russian occupier at a distance of 3,800 metres."
While there is no way to confirm the legitimacy of the claim, sources inside the SBU said it was a new world record - and a video has circulated online of the alleged shot being taken.
