Ukraine's president and top security brass have been meeting today to discuss how to prevent leaks of military information, after secret documents, detailing Western help, reportedly ended up online.

A statement about the meeting issued by the president's office did not say a leak had occurred.

It also did not refer to a New York Times report that said documents about America and Nato plans to build up the Ukrainian military had been leaked online.

Russia gaining momentum in Ukraine?

The latest UK intelligence suggests Russian forces have regained some momentum in the battle for the Ukrainian town of Bakhmut.

The Ministry of Defence says Russian troops have likely advanced into the town centre and have seized the west bank of the Bakhmutka River.

It would mean the key Ukrainian supply route to the west of the town is likely severely threatened.

Furthermore, the MOD says there is a "realistic possibility" that Wagner mercenary and Russian MOD commanders have "paused their ongoing feud" locally and improved co-operation.
