Mission Im-Pawsible: New battle noise simulation kit creates combat-ready canines
Military working dogs are undergoing innovative battle inoculation training to better prepare them for combat environments.
Using airsoft rifle replicas and mobile blast simulators, the dogs are exposed to the sounds and concussive effects of gunfire without the risks of using live weapons.
Major Graham Harvey, project manager and Innovation Scout at JHub Med, said, "It's been an issue for a long, long time... where a dog is exposed to something that it's not comfortable with... that dog team becomes operationally ineffective."

This new method allows for safer, more frequent training, enhancing the operational readiness of dog-handler teams in high-stress situations, explained in the video above.
