The CSG25 task group has welcomed the Royal Australian Navy's HMAS Brisbane as its mission continues off the west coast of Australia.

The Spanish naval ship ESPS Méndez Núñez is also en route to rejoin Carrier Strike Group 25 for joint exercises at sea, while the Royal Canadian Navy's HMCS Ville de Québec has left.

Meanwhile, some of the UK's F-35Bs have taken off from flagship carrier HMS Prince of Wales to join an exercise with South Korea's military.

Prince of Wales has also been busy hosting the US Marine Corps, with its flight deck full of US fighter jets lined up alongside the UK's F-35Bs.

US Marine Corps V-22 Osprey tilt-rotor aircraft are also on board.

The aim is to strengthen the UK-US joint capability to work together on board the aircraft carrier.

In recent days, HMS Prince of Wales also joined forces with four Indonesian warships in eastern Indonesia for a PassEx, or passing exercise.

During the eight-month mission, known as Operation Highmast, the task group has so far passed through the Mediterranean, Middle East and Indian Ocean, with stopovers in Singapore and Australia.

HMS Prince of Wales, destroyer HMS Dauntless, frigate HMS Richmond and tanker RFA Tidespring, plus Norway's HNoMS Roald Amundsen and Spain's ESPS Méndez Núñez are some of the ships currently in the fleet.

In Australia, CSG25 participated in the eleventh edition of the large-scale Australian-led multinational exercise called Exercise Talisman Sabre, which involved significant US forces.

Op Highmast is now focusing on Asia, with high-profile visits to South Korea and Japan planned for later this month.

More than 4,500 British military personnel are involved in the CSG25 deployment, including nearly 600 RAF and 900 soldiers alongside 2,500 Royal Navy sailors and Royal Marines.
