Honouring an icon: Coldstream Guards play Dolly Parton hit 9 To 5 at Changing the Guard

The Band of the Coldstream Guards played the Grammy-winning hit to honour the singer, who died aged 80 after a short battle with cancer

In a fitting tribute to an icon of country music, the Band of the Coldstream Guards performed a rendition of Dolly Parton's 1980 hit 9 To 5 at Buckingham Palace.

The Guards' rendition of the Grammy-winning hit was played out during the Changing the Guard, to the delight of members of the public who had gathered to watch the historic ceremony.

Dolly Parton passed away on 25 August aged 80 after a short battle with cancer.
