First Army Drill Night On Isle Of Man In Nearly 50 Years

This week sees the British Army’s first drill night on the Isle of Man for almost 50 years, as new Army Reserve recruits come together for the first time since a new multi-cap badge unit was formed in May.

It's the Army's first reserve unit on the Isle of Man since 1968.

It's part of the Army's 2020 plan, which will see reservists play a greater role in defence.

After the unit was formed, Forces TV's Jessie Philips spoke to 42 (North West) Brigade in Preston, who were heading the recruitment drive.
