I Know Nothing: Hogan's Heroes Is Back On Forces TV

Colonel Robert E Hogan, and his fellow prisoners in Stalag Luft 13, are back on to Forces TV. Episodes of this classic American sitcom run daily from 16th October at 11am, 3pm and 8pm.
Originally broadcast in 1965 to 1971, the series revolves around the exploits and schemes of Allied prisoners in a German prisoner of war camp. Masterminded by Col Hogan, the POWs use the incompetently guarded base to conduct espionage and sabotage missions against Nazi Germany.
The show famously combined several popular styles of sixties television: the "wartime" show, the "spy" show, and "camp comedy".
Hogan's Heroes won two Emmys and was, for two years, the ninth most watched show on US tv. It also made its star, Bob Crane, a household name.
Crane went on to marry his co-star Sigrid Valdis, who played the part of Heidi - the secretary to Stalag Luft 13's Colonel Klink. Other stars who appeared in the military sitcom included William Christopher who went on to play Father Mulcahy in M*A*S*H.
Tragically Bob Crane was murdered in mysterious circumstances in 1978, no-one has ever been convicted in connection with his death.
Forces TV is now available on Freeview 96, YouView 96, Sky Channel 264, Virgin 277 and Freesat 165
