Special Forces veterans complete Lawrence of Arabia's historic 25-day camel trek

Four Special Forces veterans have completed the historic and legendary trek completed by Lawrence of Arabia more than 100 years ago.
The team were the first to complete the journey on camels since T.E. Lawrence, Sherif Nasir, Auda Abu Tayi, and Nesib el Bekri did it in 1917.
As well as recreating history, the members of the team also took on the challenge to raise awareness for the Special Forces Club Benevolent Fund (SFCBF).
The SFCBF provides vital support to veterans and their families facing hardship, illness, and injury.
In total, the 1,100km trek took 25 days, with former Top Gear legend Richard Hammond joining them for the final leg of the extraordinary expedition.

Finishing in Aqaba, Jordan, the team used 10 camels and navigated some of the most demanding desert terrain in the world.
It saw them start in Al Wajh in Saudi Arabia and follow the original 1917 route through the Well of Dathna, Bada, the Hejaz Mountains and the Nefud Desert.
From there, the team crossed into Jordan, passing through Wadi Sirhan, Bayir Fort and Ma'an before entering the breathtaking desert landscape of Wadi Rum.
Along the route, the team paid tribute to one of Lawrence's most strategic missions – sabotaging the Ottoman railway.
On the day before arriving in Aqaba, the team recreated Lawrence's assault on the Jordanian Historical Commission.
The team received an incredible Jordanian welcome when arriving at their final destination, with Jordanian authorities, military personnel and the local community coming out to celebrate.
Ceremonial displays, traditional music and a grand parade were put on to mark the team's arrival.
