The Celebrating Forces Families (CFF) Awards is back again for a third year to shine a light on the invaluable contributions and unwavering support provided by serving military families.

Now is your chance to celebrate that special person or people in your life who make a difference, by visiting the CFF Awards nominations page

Is there someone in the military community such as a family member, a loved one, a military charity or an exemplary Armed Forces family-friendly employer who you think deserves to be celebrated for their important contribution to service life?

At a launch event held at Barclays world headquarters in London and co-hosted by Forces News journalist Sian Grzeszczyk, Air Commodore Wendy Rothery announced that the 2024 nominations gateway is now open.

Individuals and organisations can put forward their nominations for these prestigious awards.

You can vote in categories such as Inspirational Family Member of the Year, the Young People's Award, Overcoming Adversity and Military Family Charity.

Nominations are open from now until 15 December, with the 2024 CFF Awards event take place on 26 April next year.

British Forces Broadcasting Services (BFBS), Forces News' parent company, will be CFF's official media partner.

The BFBS Live Events team will coordinate the ceremony and BFBS will livestream the event for those who are unable to attend in person.

Members of the Ministry of Defence Partner Employment Working Group, the organisers of the Celebrating Forces Families Awards, saw a need for a dedicated platform exclusively celebrating the cherished support system of serving military families.

They rectified this in 2022 by dedicating an entire event to honour their unyielding commitment, service, sacrifices and achievements.

Within the many events and awards evenings that happen across the UK's Armed Forces network, this set of awards will focus purely on serving families in the UK Armed Forces and those who support the employment of military families.

Vice Admiral Phil Hally, Chief of Defence People, said: "Events like these are what the 'living in our shoes' report terms small acts of kindness and they are important as while they increase resilience and bolster self-sufficiency the most important thing is that they help to celebrate just how important our families are."

Barclays, the headline sponsor for the 2024 Celebrating Forces Families Awards, has joined forces with several other companies to support the 2024 ceremony.

These include Mott MacDonald, Defence Discount Services, Centrica, BFBS and Forces Employment Charity.

Helen Massy, from the Celebrating Forces Families organisation committee, said: "We extend our heartfelt gratitude to these organisations for their invaluable support.

"It is through their generosity and commitment that we can make the Celebrating Forces Families Awards a reality."

A few sponsorship packages remain for organisations who want to become a part of the 2024 event.

Those interested are encouraged to speak to a member of the event team or visit the website for further information.
