From Marathon Running In Afghanistan To Hunting Celebrities On Channel 4

Over the past year, former Kings Royal Hussars soldier Jordan Wylie has been 'Running Dangerously'.

His fundraising has taken him to Somalia, Iraq and most recently Afghanistan where he completed a full marathon. His motivation is raising funds and awareness to make people's lives better, especially children.

As he explained to Forces Radio BFBS broadcaster Chris Sturgess in the interview above, his goal is to put a number of youngsters affected by the turmoil of war through education to get a better start in life.

The veteran served tours in each of the three countries and says he's seen first-hand the impact violence and conflict have on vulnerable children.

"Anything worth doing never came easy as somebody once said. And just getting to these locations was a task in itself."

He will use donations to pay for the education of three children through the charities Darlington Gacmadheere Foundation, Unicef and War Child.

The next challenge for Jordan is one that again puts his military training to the test.

He has been recruited as one of the hunters for Channel 4 series, 'Celebrity Hunted' and then 'Hunted' which hits our screens early in 2019.
