Alleged Insider Attack Kills US Service Member

NATO has said an American soldier has been killed and another injured in what was believed to be an insider attack in Kabul on Saturday.

Initial reports suggest the attacker was a member of the Afghan National Defence and Security Forces. 

Reports also say the attacker was immediately killed by other Afghan troops.

The two US service members were medically evacuated to Bagram Airfield.

The wounded service member is undergoing medical treatment and is in a stable condition.

The incident is under investigation.
