British Forces Post Office: Which BFPO Services Are Running?

Due to the outbreak of coronavirus in parts of the world, the British Forces Post Office (BFPO) has implemented a number of changes across its worldwide mail network, lasting for at least a number of weeks.
All mail routes to the following locations have been suspended: Afghanistan, Balkans (Bosnia/Kosovo), Belgium, Belize, Brunei, Cape Verde, Columbia, Estonia, Italy, Kenya, Jordan, Mali, Nepal, Nigeria, Norway, Oman, Qatar, Pakistan, Rwanda, Saudi Arabia, Singapore, Spain, Somalia, South Sudan, Tunisia, Turkey (Hirfanli), Ukraine are suspended.
All 'timed deliveries' in the European Union have also been suspended.
Restrictions remain in place on routes to Kuwait.
Alongside destinations already experiencing interruptions, disruption to services to Bahrain, Germany, Holland, Poland and the United States is expected in due course.

BFPO customers are advised to:
- Not to place commercial orders, including online shopping, or post mail destined for delivery via the BFPO system to any of the countries where service is suspended until further notice.
- To end reliance on commercial orders or mail destined for delivery in other locations at risk of interruptions via the BFPO system until further notice.
- Customers who are expecting mail already within the mail system should expect delays and mail which is unable to be moved forward will be securely stored at BFPO Northolt in the short term.
All other routes are open, but BFPO states that as the situation develops, the postal service will change to fit in line with any guidance issued by the Government, Public Health England, the World Health Organisation or their commercial partners.
