Chelsea Pensioners: Normality returning after losing 'community life' to COVID
Life at the Royal Hospital Chelsea is slowly returning back to normal, after COVID-19 prevented visitors from stopping by.
Pandemic restrictions led to a period of loneliness for those inside, but the situation is slowly returning to normal.
Chelsea Pensioner John Bryne said the facility had been "air tight" during the pandemic - but he’s now conducting military tours, hoping to welcome "the civilians back in" early next year.

"One of the greatest challenges for the pensioners during COVID was the loss of their community life," said Martin Field, Royal Hospital Chelsea.
He added: “Coming back out again, being in society, they really love that."
In addition, a new £7 million visitor centre will soon be built at the sight.
