Donald Trump Confirms North Korean Summit Will Go Ahead

US President Donald Trump says the meeting with Kim Jong Un will go ahead on June 12th in Singapore.
An envoy from the North Korean government arrived at the White House with a letter from Kim Jong-un to the US President.
Kim Yong Chol, a close aide to the North Korean leader, is the highest level representative from Pyongyang to visit the White House since 2000.
Mr Trump said it was "a very interesting letter and at some point, it may be appropriate" to share it and added the meeting with the most senior North Korean lasted longer than expected and "went very well".
But he later told reporters that he had not yet read the letter, adding: "I may be in for a big surprise."
He also said the issue of human rights was not discussed.

Mr Trump cancelled the 12 June summit last week, but both sides agreed to move forward.
The President said the meeting will be "a beginning".
He also said it was likely that more than one meeting would be necessary.
He added: "I think you're going to have a very positive result in the end. We will see what we will see."
Three teams of officials in the US, Singapore and the Korean demilitarised zone have been meeting this week on preparations for the summit.
