Ministry Of Defence Police Celebrates 50 Years
The Ministry of Defence Police (MDP) is celebrating its 50th anniversary.
Formed in 1971, the MDP is responsible for protecting defence sites and infrastructure key to the UK's security.
The MDP's role has evolved since its formation due to the changing threats and advances in technology and kit and, as it marks 50 years, is a unique and specialist force.
