UK and Dutch sailors take on sea emergencies in 'FOST' training

British and Dutch sailors and naval personnel have been training together on their responses to emergencies, disasters and firefighting.

The navies have been preparing warships for deployment with Fleet Operational Sea Training (FOST) based in Devonport – the Royal Navy's world-renowned training regime.

Since 1961, the Royal Netherlands Navy has put 168 ships through FOST training, in preparation for whatever operations they could face around the globe.
