Armistice Day has been commemorated in a way never seen before, as the nation carried out some of its Remembrance traditions under COVID-19 restrictions. 

Measures meant much of the British public had to observe the two-minute silence at 11:00 on Wednesday from their homes this year, although some scaled back socially-distanced ceremonies were held across the UK.

Despite the circumstances, the country was able to pay its respects to the fallen - 102 years after the signing of the Armistice that brought an end to the First World War.
