Project Propeller gets WW2 aircrew together for final time

Shropshire has hosted Second World War veterans for a final 'Project Propeller' event.

Despite numbers dwindling since 1998, more than 40 former aircrew attended the Halfpenny Green airfield, near Stourbridge – reunited under these circumstances for the last time.

All in their late 90s and beyond, the guests enjoyed a day with a wide variety of aircraft, including a Spitfire and a Hurricane from the Battle of Britain Memorial Flight.
