Red Arrows Take To The Skies At Britain's Biggest Military Air Show
More than 150,000 people are expected to visit the 2017 Royal International Air Tattoo at RAF Fairford in Gloucestershire.

The Red Arrows performed a crowd-pleasing display, and for the first time in a decade they were joined by the US Air Force display team - The Thunderbirds.

On the first day of RIAT the Defence Secretary, Sir Michael Fallon announced a contract worth £9.5 million to provide Typhoon pilots at RAF Lossiemouth and RAF Coningsby with the latest cockpit technology, along with another deal worth £110 million to extend the service of the Hercules C-130J transport date to 2035.

But the 2017 Royal International Air Tattoo is not only a showcase for the latest in multi-million pound military jets, it has also provided smaller civilian groups with an opportunity to display their skills.
