Remembrance Glade unveiled at National Memorial Arboretum

A new space for quiet contemplation of service and sacrifice has been opened at the National Memorial Arboretum in Staffordshire.

The Remembrance Glade was created by the Royal British Legion and hopes to provide a place of tranquility and support for those with connections to the Armed Forces.

Jacqui Thompson, the widow of Garry Thompson, told Forces News the Remembrance Glade acts as a sanctuary for her when she visits: "Each time I always feel like I need to go somewhere to get collected again, process and steady my emotions."
