Soldier Sustains Facial Injuries After Alleged Acid Attack

Police say enquires are underway and no arrests have been made.
A soldier has allegedly had acid thrown in his face while running near his barracks in London.
The serviceman was out running near Cavalry Barracks in Hounslow when the incident is reported to have taken place.
The soldier, aged in his 30s, sustained injuries to his face and slash wounds to his upper body before being taken to hospital.
His condition is not thought to be life-threatening.
The incident is being treated as a robbery and is not believed to be terrorism-related.
Police say enquires are underway and no arrests have been made.
A Metropolitan Police spokesperson told Forces News: "Police were called to Hounslow Heath, Hounslow at 16:35hrs on Tuesday, 29 October following reports of a noxious substance attack.
"Officers, the London Ambulance Service and London Fire Brigade attended and found a man aged in his 30s, suffering from facial injuries and slash wounds to the upper body."
An Army spokesperson said: "The Met Police are leading the investigation and it would be inappropriate to comment further at this stage."
