Unexploded WW2 Bomb Found In Pensioners' Cupboard

Pensioner Mary Cassey was tidying her in-law's house when she discovered an unexploded World War Two bomb in their cupboard.
She believes the device had been kept by her father-in-law as a memento from the war and had been living in the cupboard for over 70-years.
The bomb was discovered three weeks ago and Mrs Cassey moved it to the outside shed before calling the police.
She didn't get a response at first and left it for another few weeks before calling the police again last week.
This time they answered and very quickly four policemen arrived and called in the bomb squad to safely remove it.
"The bomb disposal team came and put it in the garden and did an x-ray of it to make sure and found out it hadn't gone off".
"It was such a shock to think that an unexploded bomb had been in that house for so long".
A spokesman for West Midlands Police confirmed the story:
"We were called to St Osburg's Road, Coventry after an incendiary device was discovered at a property at around 9.45am today.
"The army bomb disposal team have been called and the device is to be taken away for a controlled explosion."
