Germany's top military doctor is preparing his country to treat a thousand troops a day in the event of a war between Nato and Russia, by learning from the battle tactics seen in Ukraine. 

Drone warfare has altered frontline medicine, with more soldiers suffering blast injuries and burns rather than traditional gunshot wounds.

BFBS Forces News' Simon Newton reports as General Ralf Hoffman says German troops would be initially treated on the frontline, before being transported to a civilian hospital back in Germany.
