Prince of Wales visits Faslane to mark 125 years of Royal Navy Submarine Service
The Prince of Wales has visited Faslane to mark 125 years of the Royal Navy's Submarine Service, meeting personnel at the base at the centre of the UK's nuclear deterrent.
HM Naval Base Clyde, the Royal Navy's main base in Scotland, is home to the core of the Submarine Service, including the Vanguard-class submarines that deliver the UK's Continuous At Sea Deterrent and the new generation of attack submarines.
The Prince, who is Commodore-in-Chief of the Submarine Service, heard about future plans for the fleet and met women serving in submarines as part of his wider work hearing from servicewomen across the Armed Forces.
