Russia plans training launch of intercontinental ballistic missile to intimidate, Ukraine says

Russia is planning a "training and combat" launch of an intercontinental ballistic missile to intimidate Ukraine and the West, Kyiv's military intelligence has said.
In a statement on Telegram, Ukraine's GUR said the overnight launch was ordered from the Sverdlovsk region of Russia, with the missile having a flight range of more than 6,200 miles.
"In order to demonstratively pressure and intimidate Ukraine, and also EU and Nato member states, the aggressor state of Russia intends to make a 'training and combat' launch of the RS-24 intercontinental ballistic missile from the Yars complex," GUR said in the statement.
Russia did not comment immediately on the Ukrainian statement and does not answer questions about its plans to test launch nuclear missiles.
This is because it classifies the details of these weapons as a military secret.
It does, however, issue statements after such launches.
The launch comes as US president Donald Trump said he would speak to Russian president Vladimir Putin about "stopping the bloodbath" and ending the war in Ukraine.
In a post on his social media platform Truth Social, he said that, following a phone call with Putin, he would speak to Ukrainian president Volodymyr Zelensky and then Nato leaders.
Ahead of the call, Ukraine's air force reported Russia had launched 112 drones overnight across Ukraine.
The service said 76 were downed, while it was not clear what happened to the others.
