Russia will reject two reported Trump proposals to end war in Ukraine, says Kremlin

Russia is set to reject two key proposals that are reportedly being considered by President-elect Donald Trump to end the war in Ukraine.
Russian foreign minister Sergei Lavrov said the Kremlin would not accept Mr Trump's plans after the incoming president vowed to end the conflict "in 24 hours".
Exactly how he is to do this is yet to be revealed.
Mr Trump's team is believed to have put forward several suggestions, with the first seeing Ukraine not allowed to join Nato for at least 20 years and the second seeing a European peacekeeping force, possibly including British troops, being stationed in Ukraine.
But in an interview with Russian state media, Mr Lavrov said neither of those would be acceptable to Moscow.
Mr Lavrov said any agreement would have to eliminate what he called the "root causes" of the war.
The Kremlin says it invaded Ukraine to stop Nato expansion eastwards and to stop Ukraine's discrimination against ethnic Russians.
In what will be seen as a blow to Mr Trump's ambitions, Mr Lavrov reinforced the Kremlin's stance, stating any deal would have to involve Ukraine becoming a permanently neutral state.
As well as that, Russia wants to see Ukraine barred from joining Nato at any point, limits placed on the size of its armed forces and President Zelensky's government removed from office.
The news comes after Mr Trump branded the Biden administration's decision to let Ukraine use US missiles to strike targets deep inside Russia as "crazy".
