D-Day Through the Eyes of an 11 Year-Old

Many of the visitors to the American war graves cemetery in Normandy have been captivated by a young boy who stands over one grave and tells the story of the soldier buried there.


There is no family connection although his father is American. Richard McErlane told Steve Britton from BFBS Radio a story that offers hope to those who doubt that future generations “will remember them.”
