Dogfights: Air-to-Air Combat on Forces TV
Forces TV takes viewers to the skies with a new weekly series called Dogfights, starting on Monday 6th October at 9pm (UK). Historical air-to-air combat scenes are recreated using computer-generated imagery, alongside first-hand accounts from former fighter pilots who took part in the aerial battles.
The First World War, the Vietnam War and the Gulf War are among the campaigns featured in the series. Each episode covers the combat tactics, manoeuvres, and stunts used by the pilots, and descriptions of the planes pitted against each other in the dogfights.
From the US Navy’s Phantom, to the Luftwaffe’s Messerschmitt and the British Hawker Hunter, the range of aircraft shown in mid-air battle will thrill aviation enthusiasts and fans of action TV. Dogfights was originally shown on The History Channel (now called History). The ten episodes of season one and eighteen episodes of season two will be broadcast on Forces TV.
