Queen's Royal Hussars celebrates anniversary and return of soldiers from Nato mission

Watch: Party atmosphere as Queen's Royal Hussars celebrates anniversary and return of troops.

Celebrations have been held to mark the 30th anniversary of the formation of the Queen's Royal Hussars and the return of soldiers from Estonia.

The soldiers' families got a chance to see some of the equipment used by the troops on their deployment to Estonia on Operation Cabrit 12.

Op Cabrit, established in 2017, is the name of the UK operational deployment to Estonia and the Baltic states, where around 900 British personnel lead a multinational, combat-ready force Battlegroup as part of Nato's enhanced Forward Presence (eFP).

The Queen's Royal Hussars was formed in September 1993 – an amalgamation of the Queen's Own Hussars and Queen's Royal Irish Hussars.

Since their formation, the regiment has striven to be family-focused and this latest homecoming event showed how they value everyone involved in deployment – from the soldiers who go away, to the families who stay behind.
