Korean War Memorial Unveiled

Defence Secretary Michael Fallon joined hundreds of Korean War veterans to witness the unveiling of a new memorial in Westminster.

The bronze statue marks the sacrifice made by British troops in what is often dubbed “the forgotten war”.

During three years of fighting, more than 1,000 British service personnel were killed, and many more were injured or taken prisoner.

Charlotte Cross reports.
