Lord Mayor of Liverpool Searches for Families of Forgotten Heroes

Councillor Gary Millar is the Lord Mayor of Liverpool. He is searching for the families of the city's forgotten First World War heroes.

A memorial plaque was discovered in the garden of nearby St Peter's Church. Upon closer inspection it was discovered that half of the names listed on it did not feature on the city's Hall of Remembrance at the Town Hall.

The Lord Mayor is hoping that the families of those listed on the plaque will come forward and claim their relative's place in the city's Hall of Remembrance.
