Memorial Service Held to Mark the Division of Cyprus
The weekend marked forty years since Turkish forces arrived in Cyprus and fighting broke out dividing the country in two.
In the north, the anniversary is called Peace and Freedom Day but in the Republic of Cyprus it is considered a day of remembrance marked by church services across the island.
Talks between the two sides are ongoing. The president was at a memorial service in Nicosia as was our reporter, Carla Prater.
