Operation Homefront Comes to Forces TV
In a new series on Forces TV, a team of ex-military personnel rises to the challenge of helping British communities in need.
Operation Homefront follows five ex-servicemen and women as they renovate vital buildings and spaces in urban and rural areas.
Kevin Godlington, a former Royal Engineer and Special Forces soldier, presents the show and is also team leader for the Construction Squad.
He’s joined by Royal Engineer demolitions expert Charlie Brooks, Warrant Officer Taff Evans (aka The Enforcer), Combat Engineer Kaz Smith and Sapper Stu Mendelson.
They apply military skills to makeovers on civvy street, but their mission is to complete each project in days, not weeks.
The tasks include transforming a disused hospital into a centre for disabled children, revitalising wasteland to make a therapy garden for veterans suffering from PTSD, and revamping a dilapidated lifeboat house.
The six episodes of Operation Homefront will be broadcast on Forces TV on Mondays at 9pm (UK) starting on Monday 11th August.
Operation Homefront is produced by North One Television. Executive Producer, John Quinn, said: “These highly trained soldiers learned their skills in the harshest and most dangerous of environments.
“This series demonstrates their incredible range of abilities, as they apply them to some of the toughest community renovation projects going.”
Each new episode of Operation Homefront will be repeated on Tuesdays at 10am, Thursdays at 4.30pm and Sundays at 4.30pm – all UK times.
