Successful Social Media Campaign for Welsh Guard
A social media campaign looking for mourners to attend the funeral of a Welsh soldier resulted in dozens of mourners pledging to go. The 85-year-old former soldier's coffin was also draped in regimental colours as Welsh Guards in full uniform formed a guard of honour at the service
Funeral directors feared the worst after being unable to find any family or friends of 85 year old Harold Morgan, but thanks to a successful online campaign to raise awareness, St Tathan's church in The Vale of Glamorgan was filled for the funeral of the former Welsh Guardsman .

Reverand Rachel Simpson who held the service today added that she had received a message from Welsh Guards senior officers saying: “Guards do not die alone”.
"This week has all been about remembering those who gave their lives for their country, so we were determined to support the church's appeal and have the opportunity to give thanks for the life and service of Mr Morgan."
