US Major General Killed in Afghanistan

An investigation is underway into the killing of American Major General Harold Greene at Camp Qargha in Afghanistan. Two Britons were amongst the 15 people injured in what is suspected to be an 'insider attack' at the British-run Officer training academy. Most of the injured are believed to be American however a German Brigadier General was also wounded. 

Major General Greene was a two star General and is the highest ranking American officer to have been killed since the September 11th attacks in 2001.
