Will Afghan Election Result Delays Affect British Troops?
A suicide bomb attack outside Kabul airport in Afghanistan has killed at least four people. Three of the dead are reported to be foreign advisers to the Afghan government.
It follows a 100% audit of the second round of voting in the Afghanistan election which took place in mid-June, amid accusations of fraud.
The two candidates – Abdullah Abdullah and Ashraf Ghani – have both pledged to sign the Bilaterial Security Agreement which would allow NATO troops to remain in the country after 2014.
But with more delays affecting the final election result, what are the repercussions for Afghanistan, and for NATO?
