Women Prepare For Life In The Afghan Army

The first women cadets to complete training at the Afghan National Army Officer Academy in Kabul are preparing to graduate.

It will be the first female platoon to pass out from the facility, which is based on the Sandhurst model.

The Afghan instructors are being helped by British Army mentors, deployed on the UK's Operation Toral.

In the first of a series of special reports for Forces TV, Charlotte Cross gets an exclusive look behind the scenes at the academy.

The faces of the women cadets have been blurred to protect their identities.
