Arctic Star At Last For Royal Navy Veteran

A 92-year-old Royal Navy veteran has been presented with the Arctic Star for the role he played during the Second World War.
 
More than 100 ships and 3000 allied seamen were lost
On 21 August 1941, the first of what would become 95 convoys left the UK to send vital aid to the Soviets, helping to turn the tide against the Germans.
