BITE simulator: Immersive training experience set to revolutionise Royal Navy's training

The immersive ship in a box

An immersive training facility aims to provide realistic scenarios for Royal Navy crews without the need for them to go to sea.

The Babcock Immersive Training Environment uses lifelike conditions to prepare personnel for conditions of conflict, all in what is essentially a shipping container.

As well as providing useful training, the unit also frees up ships that would otherwise be used for the exercise.

In our video, BFBS Forces News explores the BITE simulator and how it will impact the Royal Navy's training.
