The Swedish stealth submarine designed for a harsher fight over undersea cables
The A26 is Saab's next-generation Swedish submarine, built for stealth, seabed warfare and the growing threat of undersea cable sabotage.
In our video, Stuart Rumble looks at the features designed for that fight, including a bow-mounted multi-mission portal for divers, unmanned underwater vehicles and other specialist kit.
The submarine is also designed to lie on the seabed and stay submerged for extended periods using air-independent propulsion.
