The Cost of Moving Trident Revealed
The Potential costs of moving Trident if Scotland votes for independence have been revealed in a new report.
Previous estimates suggested moving the UK's nuclear deterrent could run into tens of billions and take decades.
But now a study by the Royal United Services Institute claims it would actually cost between 2.5 and 3.5 billion and take around ten years.
Simon Newton has spoken to the report's author Hugh Chalmers and began by asking about the cost of relocating the nuclear bases.
