HMS Bulwark Leads Commemoration Flotilla

The assault on the Normandy beaches was commemorated both on land and on sea. A flotilla of international ships set sail for France making the journey after a day of remembrance in Southsea. This is where the Allies launched in 1944. The procession across the Channel was headed by the Royal Navy's flagship, HMS Bulwark.

Julie Knox was onboard the ship.
