HMS Duncan's Lynx Crew Welcomed Home

Lynx flight 219 has made its return to RNAS Yeovilton after supporting American airstrikes against IS in Iraq and Syria.
 
The aircrew joined one of Britain's most advanced warships, HMS Duncan inproviding protection for the USS Theodore Roosevelt.

HMS Duncan, the last of the Navy’s six Type 45 destroyers, was commissioned in September 2013.
 
The ship is armed with the highly-sophisticated Sea Viper missile system, which is able to track and engage several aircraft and missile targets at very high speed.
